...and once again for the second (third? fourth?) time.

Yeah - so I said this in 2016 and then again in 2019.... but time really does get away from you!

Superfast updates...

Kids are nearly teenagers - Homeschooling is *interesting* at times... :)  Working from home since Covid hit..  Mom and Dad Purdy both have passed away.. we inherited their properties up north and are working on getting them back up to useable condition (mostly the back cottage which was sorely neglected).

Retro Computers:

I have two Apple IIgs's with CF HDD's and VidHD cards we are using with the kiddos.  Also have a C128 I ressurrected and is fully functional.  Started working on my vintage HP Calculators and aquired some HP-28s's (my first calculator in college).

RC Cars:

After the Tamiya Frog I also got an old Avante (dream car when I was a kid) and put a bunch of updates on it.

I also *finally* closed an unfinished chapter from my youth - when I was a kit I traded a bunch of RC stuff for a non-working Kyosho Turbo Optima chain drive 4WD.  I never got that running and it was lost to time when I left my parents place.

Well - When Covid hit I wanted a project - so I picked up a re-release Turbo Optima and built that kit - too much fun!  runs amazing!

Picked up some Team Associated goodies.  Built a shelf queen - box-art clone of my first gen RC10.  Also have another chassis from a RC10T that I turned into a buggy, and an RC10GT I modified to electric.  There is also one additional. RC10GT in storage that I couldn't get to run... seems those old 1/10 nitro motors aren't very easy to find these days and I dont; want to drop the $200 for a new one.

Picked up an Axial SCX24 Jeep Rubicon crawler and modded it to death last winter.... that thing is fun!

Planning on building a vintage RC10L (I have a husk that needs parts) as I always wanted a pan car back in the day.

My RC8 buggy has been immobile for a couple of years since I did a mega jump / cartwheel off teh curb and shattered a front bearing...  One day I'll get it back on the road.

Up North Hobbies:

We picked up a SeaDoo (2017) GTI last summer - and love that thing... too much fun.  Got a great deal on it used with only 40 hours on it... we only put another 5 hours on the motor all summer.

Also picked up a Yamaha TW200 dual sport motorcycle for tooling around up north... I've been practicing all fall and plan to take the tests in the spring.
